Berryhill 10k and 2k results 2016

29 Jun 2016 | BY somarketing

Many thanks to everyone who helped the club put this race on including great assistance from the North Staffs Road Runners Association itself and Stoke F.I.T. And special thanks to John Bourne who initiated this race 20 years ago and who has been the race director ever since. This was John’s last Berryhill as organiser but we know he hopes to help out if it goes ahead next year: Although this is one of the cheapest races in the local calendar all monies raised help City of Stoke provide essential funding for a club which is primarily composed of local junior athletes aspiring to the highest levels of competition.

In the race itself Keele University student Felix McGrath from Westbury Harriers dominated winning in 35.03, with Dave Giles from Newcastle Tri Club 2nd and 15 year old James Condlyffe having a brilliant run for City of Stoke AC in 3rd. The women’s race saw an equally dominant run from Newcastle AC’s Michelle Buckle with Trentham’s Kristina Defries 2nd, and Staffs Moorlands Wendy Swift 3rd.
