This
match's position shows the combined efforts of our
"stars" and our "heroes". Pride of place
goes to Morris Fox with a first in the
Shot and the Discus (PB) and to David Brackstone with first
in the 400m and second in the 100m. Matt Jones also made a good
return to the team with a second in
the 1500m, supported by Alex Wright who was also placed second.
When Grenville Field was injured,
it was a time for the team to pull together, none more so than
Tom Gayle in the 400m, his brother
Nik in the 200m and Alex Wright in the 4x400m Relay. This effort
by them and the rest of the team
means that we need to finish higher than either Cardiff or Luton
in the remaining match. With a
strong team, this is entirely possible. |
