28th Sept 2002 MIDLAND 6 STAGE ROAD RELAY - SUTTON PARK

Ray Plant got the team off to a great start, finishing 3rd, very close behind former Stoke runner Mark Dalkins (Birchfield). Andy Williams, coming back from injury found the going very tough on the second stage. 17 year old Chris Minor confirmed his Uttoxeter performance was no fluke on stage 4, gaining 3 places. The Team Manager's effort (40 seconds faster than last year!) gained another 1. Andy Prophett's return was boosted by chasing down his second claim club Cheltenham's runner. Gavin Walter's (also 17) mature run gained another place to complete a team finish in 13th - 6 places better than last year.
