The awful weather did not effect the
performance of the team; an excellent display and another fine win.
Special mention must go to the high jumpers (Steve Latham and James Dohnal)
who got the worst of the weather, the hammer throw that was called off and
the downpour that soaked the 200m sprinters.
Richard Porter had a great match with 3 firsts and a second place with a PB
in the 200m. Dan Townson and Nathan Price with a double win in the 400m
hurdles, also in the 110m hurdles James Dohnal and Alistair Candlish took
first places in the A and B races.
Dan Townson also won the triple jump B along with Richard Bailey winning the
triple jump A, and on the track in the sprints Andrew Waller won the 200m B
despite injury.
In the long distance events Alex Derricott and Alex Hall came 1st in A and B
string 3000m, and Fred Mainwarring won the 2000m steeplechase (knocking a
massive 16 seconds off his PB).
Also in the field there was yet another double win in the A and B string
Discus for Greg Nixon and Louis Moore and Tom Dohnal winning the B string
Hammer with 38.33m.
