AAA
UNDER 20 CHAMPIONSHIPS - BEDFORD |

Outstanding weekend for Stoke AC youngsters
"Emma Jackson secured a bronze medal in her first
AAA U20 championships in a hard fought 800m. Just 1.6 seconds separated 1st
and 4th place. Emma recorded a time of 2:06.6 in the final just
0.1 seconds slower than her best in a hand timed race. Emma will now
travel to Morocco next week to represent Great Britain at World Youth
Championships in the 800m which takes place 13-17 July. This is
Emma's first international vest and everyone at the club wishes her a
successful debut". Alan Morris
Alex Nelson also gained a bronze medal in the 100m, running 10.34 and
continuing his outstanding recent form.
Pole Vaulter Alex Williams was another bronze medalist behind former
Stoke star Steven Lewis who took gold. Alex jumped 4.40m and looks an
excellent bet to succeed Lewis as champion next year.
