A match contested in good spirit with good
team effort where the outcome was inevitable given the 1 team to
qualify. Many clubs fielded teams well below par given the inevitable
result. Stoke battled hard throughout the competition leading briefly in
the early stages. 4 personal bests were achieved, 3 from the ladies team
and 1 from the mens. The lack of a full womens team meant that 8 events
were not contested and resulted in the low combined team score. In order
to add spice to this competition it is essential to increase the
opportunity for other teams by providing more than 1 qualifier from this
fixture to encourage clubs to field full teams.
