Katie Holt's stunning 5th place in the U13 girls
was the Stoke AC performance of the day. Running strongly throughout
Katie was only a few seconds away from a medal at the finish. Elsewhere,
Alex Derricott found his first year in the U17 age group tough going but
still finished a respectable 12th with Alex Hall showing further improvement
to finish just a few seconds down in 15th. Other performances of note came
from Emma Jackson, 22nd in the U17 women, Jake Hart 26th in the U13 boys,
Clare Booker 86th in the Senior Women and Tom Gayle, exactly 100th in the
massive Senior Men's field. The only disappointing element of the day was a
lack of complete Stoke teams in any events other than the U13 girls and the
U13 boys.
