24th Sept 2006 MIDLANDS YOUNG ATHLETES ROAD RELAYS - SUTTON PARK

U15 Bronze team medals were a great reward for the hard work in training that the U15 boys have been putting in over the last couple of weeks. Jake Hart performed exceptionally well on the first leg, and was backed up superbly by Jake Guest and Josh Kinch who ran 52 and 45 secs faster than last year respectively.

The B team also performed well with Sam Hart running a great time on the first leg. Mark Shallcross and Jack Ross ran strongly to secure an excellent 8th place - equal to the A team placing from last year!

The U13 boys were only just out of the medals in 4th, with first year U13 Kris Washington performing especially well. Tom Guy is capable of beating any U13 in the country on his day but definitely ran 'football' tired on this occasion. Luke Kinch is now one of the most committed members of the squad, and will go faster once he has got a few months regular training in him.

The U17 boys made sure that Stoke finished a team in every age-group with 12th. Dave Clark is not quite performing to his potential at the moment, but once he sorts it out he could well end up being one of the strongest juniors we have got. Rob Cook and Josh Berrisford ran better than they have recently at this sort of distance and should improve considerably over the coming months.
