  18th June 2006 MIDLANDS SENIOR & U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS - BIRMINGHAM

A small but high quality bunch of Stoke AC athletes competed in the Midlands championships bringing back 4 Golds and 3 Silvers.

Tom Gayle enhanced his growing reputation with his first senior Midlands Championship gold in the 1500m.

Emma Jackson dominated the U20 women's 800m, whilst Nikki Brady jumped well to take Gold in the Senior Women's High Jump.

Discus thrower Elliot Price was another U20 in good form as he took the Discus title.

David Mountford jumped to a silver in the senior men's Long Jump and Rob Eggleton was very close to the club record with 2nd in the Javelin.

The 3rd silver of the day came from Alex Derricott in the U20 men's 3000m, with Damian Gallagher also having a good run in 5th.
