4th November 2006 NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY RELAYS - MANSFIELD



Although there were no team medals on this occasion, Stoke AC athletes put in some outstanding individual performances.

Kate Holt showed all her determination to lead home the U15 girls on the first leg, and she gained the fastest individual time of the day for her effort.

Alex Derricott showed that he has really lost any of his outstanding potential to record an excellent 6th fastest time overall in the junior men's race, as the team finished a highly creditable 8th.

Both these athletes are in the first year of their respective age-groups.

In the senior women's race Michelle Ross recorded an excellent 10.09, one of the fastest times on the 2nd leg. Junior international 800m runner Emma Jackson also performed extremely well with 10.35 on the first leg.
