  6th August 2006 UK WOMENS LEAGUE - ABINGDON


Despite a small team Stoke produced a good result to finish out of the relegation zone and guarantee another season in the UKWL. Notable performances came from Michelle Cope who ran close to her best in winning the 3000m and gain a 3rd place in the 1500m on a very warm day. Louise Burton on her first outing for the club performed very well to win the B string shot and take 3rd place in the javelin. All in all a solid team performance where survival was the order of the day.
