 24/25 May 2008  MIDLANDS U15 & U17 TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS - BIRMINGHAM
 + U20 THROWS

An excellent tally of 8 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze medals reflected the quality of the relatively small number of Stoke AC athletes who attended these championships.

Triple winner Jazmin Sawyers dominated the U15 girls age-group with wins in the Hurdles, Long Jump and High Jump and confirmed her place as one of the top multi-eventers in the country.

U17 Triple and Long Jump champion Ben Williams also cemented his position at the head of the UK rankings.

In the U15 boys Tom Guy won a very competitive 1500m against an opponent with a much faster time to their name this season. It is surely only a matter of time (and the right race) until Tom will go much faster.

Likewise in the U17 Women's 1500m race Kate Holt also looks as if she has plenty left for stronger competitions to come.

There were also a number of U20 Throws events held in conjunction with this event and top performer was Jade Moore who took gold in the Discus.
